Description

Lake Navarino Holiday Park is one of Western Australia's best kept secrets, nestled in the jarrah forest just an hour and a half from Perth, between Waroona and Dwellingup. It's the perfect place to escape the city, to relax and slip into the peaceful and unhurried pace of nature. The park's accommodation is set amongst the natural lakeside forest with something for everyone, from cottages, cabins, and park homes to shady powered and un-powered sites for caravans/tents. There is a small camp kitchen available for your convenience. Lake Navarino Holiday Park is a bush lover's paradise with lots to do for those looking for a truly natural experience. Bush-walking, canoeing, white water rafting (see Dwellingup Adventures under Adventure Activities), mountain biking, horse riding and fishing are among the many things you can do to relax and get in touch with nature. The area surrounding the resort is also rich in local cultural, historical attractions and activities for those wishing to explore further a field. Yes we are pet friendly! Lakeside Camping is now prohibited according to their Facebook page. - January 2021

Pacing Our Travels

Camped in the unpowered bush camping area, shattered glass on the ground. Lots of bins. Pretty quiet. Staff and patrons all very friendly. $46 for an unpowered site for a fully self sufficient caravan ages away from facilities seems excessive. Paid for kids but the playground wasnt much. Prefer sunnier sites for solar. I liked that they allowed the unpowered campers to arrive when ever. It never makes sense why caravan parks make people check in late in the day but leave early.

Friendly enough staff, park is very big, nice bush setting, dated but adequate ablutions, we can't say it was peaceful and tranquil setting as the owners had someone using a commercial leaf blower most of the day was so loud couldn't hear our self think was a shame as it's an otherwise nice park. The next morning as we were packing up enjoying the bird life and serenity off goes the leaf blower again was quite annoying what a shame.
