Description
El Questro has 30 private riverside sites situated further along the Pentecost River, yet still close to the heart of the action. They are approximately 10 minutes' drive from The Station's central facilities, which are available for use by all campers. Please be aware that sizes of sites, shade and access to eco loos vary and note that most sites are not suitable for swimming.
Reservations via El Questro Wilderness Park office.
Kindly note, we do not allow caravans and large motor-homes on the private sites due to low hanging branches on the driveways. Please also note that there is a 16km unsealed section with two water crossings being approximately 300-500mm in depth.
Dogs are allowed at El Questros campsites, however they must be on a lead at all times and any signs of antisocial behaviour will result in a move on notice. Dogs are not permitted on any of El Questro's tours, activities or to any of our attractions.

Private site, but you can hear the station area including the music at night and generators. Has a rope swing into river (but due to risk of salties we didn't use!) a good climbing tree for kids. Can hear cars heading up to the saddleback ridge lookout from 3pm till just after dark. And the horse trail riders go through the bush 20/30m away. A few people came down after misreading the signs for the lookout. A lot closer than the outer private camps if you want to get a dinner or have a shower at the main camping area. Also closer to the gorges. No toilet nearby. Area approx 50x15m right along the river with a 2m bank and lots of trees along it.

Overrated and expensive. Stayed at Wuggubun Aboriginal Community Campground 30 mins up the road. Was lovely and great scenery. Only $25 per van.
