Access to Banksia Camp is four-wheel drive only. Be sure to reduce your tyre pressure when driving on sand. Banksia Camp is a great choice for a family holiday, with camping and fishing and spectacular coastal views across to Chatham Island. The Banksia Hut is a roomy shelter containing four bedrooms and a common area that is designed to accommodate 12 people comfortably. The hut cannot be pre-booked or reserved so visitors are advised to carry a tent in case it is occupied on arrival. Rainwater is provided at the hut for all visitors. Please use this resource sparingly as it is limited. The purity of water cannot be guaranteed; therefore it should be treated before drinking. Please note that this facility is provided for all visitors so treat it as a shared resource. Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood. Campers´ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared . No pets.

We are here and we are alone in the campsite. This is a great place with good toilets. If you let your tyres down on your 4WD you will get in here. We have a Kimberley Karavan and for us site one is the best.
