2nd Campground @ Buntine Rocks

Has not been rated.

Buntine Rock is a large granite outcrop providing spectacular views of the surrounding farming land. A great picnic site and wildflowers in season. Free camping is available at Buntine Rocks. The 2nd campground has shade but a smaller turning circle which may be difficult for large vehicles. There are no facilities. Take all your rubbish with you and leave no trace. If you do not have your own toilet, bury human waste at least 100m from tracks, camping areas and water bodies. Bury toilet paper or bag and dispose of in a bin once you leave the site. The entry road to Buntine Rock can be rough. Campers with caravans and large vehicles are more suited to the 1st and 2nd camping areas.

Fabulous spot. Easy to get to with an off road van. Only us and one other van which we could hardly see. HEAPS of room for plenty of campers. Nice fire to top it off.

First camping area on the Buntine Rock road has plenty of room for at least a dozen vans. Lovely area, road to the rock is rough so take it slowly. Lovely views from on top of the rock. Thank you Buntine.

A great place to camp, but you have to be self contained, there are no facilities. The dirt road in is ok to the first camping area (gravel pit), but the road deteriorates further in. A 4wd with an off road van should be able to get to the next camp spot ok. From there it's a short walk to Buntine Rock which offers great views of the surrounding area plus some wildflowers.
