Description

This free point of interest offers toilets, nice scenery, wildlife viewing and walking tracks. It is dog friendly. No camping or overnight parking allowed. Trail starts past the Café toilets. A statue 'Don't look at the islands' acknowledging the traumatic past of Aboriginal people who were taken prisoner and used as slaves at the Lock Hospital on Dorre and Bernier Islands, their children left behind to survive as orphans. A gentle diet and gravel track to Dwyers Leap.
