Wellards 1, 2 & 3 (Shelter Bay) Steep Point
CampgroundDescription
Steep Point can only be accessed by high clearance four-wheel drive vehicle or by boat. The access road is long and rough (140km of unsealed track - about three hours driving). Be prepared. Only high clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles are able to traverse the last 30km of sandy tracks. Permits are required and camp sites are popular so book well in advance.

WELLARD 1 - Max TWO vehicles, EIGHT people.
WELLARD 2 - Max THREE vehicles, 12 people. Min FIVE people.
WELLARD 3 - Max THREE vehicles, 12 people. Min FIVE people.
Facilities in this remote area are limited to pit toilets. You will need to bring in all you need and take your rubbish out with you. Remember to make sure you have sufficient fresh water, food and fuel.
Pets are not allowed at Steep Point and Edel Land.
Campfires are not permitted.
