Free camping with great views of the white sandy beach. 72h limit, enforced by Shire rangers. In August there is the opportunity to view the largest population of migrating humpback whales. Kardilakan (Quandong) is approximately 50km from Broome. The first 25km in paved, the rest is a rough, corrugated unsealed road with some boggy sand. 4WD is required. There are no facilities so campers must be self-sufficient. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
