Description

Managed by Yaringa Station, Gladstone Bay campground is located in the Shark Bay World Heritage area in Western Australia. Spanning across approximately 3 kilometres of pristine coastline, featuring a historic jetty, crystal clear water and an abundance of marine life, Gladstone Bay Campground has something to offer everyone, whether it be fishing, kayaking, snorkeling or just relaxing and taking in the peaceful surrounds. The campsite is open all year round and no bookings are required. The facilities include flushing toilets, a newly constructed artesian camp shower, a caravan dump point and access to non potable water. A BBQ picnic area comprises a wood fired pizza oven and BBQ, a communal fire pit and a shaded gazebo with plenty of seating. Telstra mobile coverage is available. Gas bottle refills, drinking water, firewood and some other basic supplies are also available for purchase, subject to availability. Campfires are permitted subject to seasonal fire bans; please check the fire rating and adhere to any restrictions in place. You must supply your own firewood or purchase from camp host, subject to availability. No EFTPOS facilities are available; CASH ONLY. Please note that quadbikes and motorbikes are not permitted. Gladstone Bay Campground is located 149kms south of Carnarvon or 341kms north of Geraldton, via the North West Coastal Hwy. Turn off the hwy opposite Yaringa Station and travel along the dirt road for approximately 6kms to arrive at the campground. The campground can be accessed by 2WD, and there are plenty of sites available for all vehicle types, including big rigs. No bookings are required. Please report to the camp host upon arrival or if unattended leave fees in the honesty box at the entrance. Fees must be paid before entering the campsite. This is a bit misleading saying motorbikes are not allowed. Travelling motorbikes are allowed only off road bikes need permission. Pay for campsite fees onsite inside shed, cash only
