Description

Wonderfully restored heritage Water Tower, designed by architect John Grainger, father of famous Australian pianist Percy Grainger. Tower has four levels and provides wonderful vistas of Sale and the delightful adjacent Victoria Park. The water tower is FREE entry and opens to the public Saturday's from 2pm-4pm. The interpretive panels inside the tower tells the story of Sale's water supply, unique in Victoria being artesian, initially claimed to have healing properties. Nowadays Sale's water is still drawn from the same underground acquifers.
