Lake Lonsdale is a large, shallow reservoir on the Mt William Creek. It fills from its own catchment and is reliant on natural inflows. Lake Lonsdale also has an important role in the community as a recreational lake in the Stawell area, hosting a number of activities on its northern side, such as boating, swimming, camping and water skiing. No camping at the boat ramp - look for signage for designated camping area behind the toilet block. Pets are permitted and must be kept under control at all times.

Spent 3 days here , plenty of camping spots and the amenities are very good and clean the lake is low and there is an algae warning but apart from that this will be on the list of places to visit again

Boat ramp doesn't reach the water with levels as they are. Signs warn against blue green algae. Other than that it is as picturesque as the photo.
