Beautiful murals inside St Mary's Catholic Church.
Visitors are welcome and there are guided tours if you want one between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday.
In 1931 Italian artist Francesco Floreani was looking for work in the Bairnsdale area when a local priest offered him the job of decorating the interior of a church. The comprehensive interior decorative scheme is of murals depicting the apostles, numerous saints, imaginings of purgatory, heaven and hell, and numerous seraphims and cherubims. It was executed by Francesco Floreani between 1931 and 1938. Today they attract visitors from all over the world.
No camping or overnight parking.
