This reservoir was built in 1887 and is historically significant as the water supply system is one of the largest of its kind in the world. So worth a detour if you're in the area.
This free day use area offers toilets, nice scenery, wildlife viewing, walking tracks and 4wd tracks. Dogs are not permitted.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.

Heaps of water being released at the moment into the river feeding McKenzie falls and other falls. Walk across bridge and have a look. Worth seeing. Heaps of water.
