Stayed in the park one night. Beautiful nearly nearby botanical gardens with English trees and a long walking track. Short walk to the street. The wetlands was worth a visit. We saw a large snake sunning itself beside the well groomed pathway! in late April. The fairly new pub owners were very nervous and not accommodating, as they anticipated a large crowd with the first football game since Covid lock downs. still we persisted having 4 rounds of drinks over 2 visits (the second after tea to see how big the crowd was and how they were coping with it. Obviously quite nervous. Shame as it's a nice little town. The park is overpriced at $30 for a powered site. Otherwise, we'd be back to the town in the future! Sorry Penshurst, can't recommend a grey nomads quiet weekend here.
