*Free to stay , but need permit for beach ($10). Sandy beach. Camp on/behind the small dunes. Nice view on a good day. Facing 'Facing Island'. Permit required to drive on beach to get there from Gladstone Regional Council. *please make sure to check the tide levels before trekking on the beach* Travelling on soft sand at high tide is not encouraged.
