Wirilda provides the nearest picnic site to Traralgon, Morwell and Moe, offering easy access, a sparkling clear river in the bush setting with drop toilets, shelter and free barbecue facilities. Birds call picnicers to share the nearby bush with them, and several walking tracks make this offer an easy experience. For the energetic, the tracks lead further up the river to the Tyers Gorge and eventually to the Moondarra Dam. Camping is permitted for $5 per night, payable via website. Campers can also pay cash at the campground when someone from the committee comes down to the site. Sites are unpowered. There are no showers available. It is dog friendly. It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers and caravans. Camping in tents is allowed. No fires at any time! Please take your rubbish home when you leave. No cutting down trees or saplings.
