Description
Set amongst a stand of large eucalypts, the Tolmie Sportsground is most famously known as the location of the annual Tolmie Sports. It is also becoming a popular camping location for not only those passing through, but also for 4WD and recreational vehicle groups.
Providing excellent camping facilities including shower/toilet block, electric BBQ, new camp kitchen with sinks and microwave, plus kids playground, horse stables and yards and the large sporting oval it is the perfect place for a weekend getaway.
Sites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes and big rigs. A fee is payable in advance via an honesty box. There is a mudmap next to the honesty box showing where you can/can't camp. Bookings are NOT taken. Phone ahead only if a large group outside of peak times to ensure additional showers are unlocked.
Tennis courts are also available for hire. Group bookings are welcome with kiosk and bar facilities also available.
Pets are permitted.

Lovely spot. Only group here tonight. Absolutely silent. Fantastic facilities.

What a great spot with lots of room. Nice clean hot showers, clean toilets, a beautiful kitchen with books to swap, another rustic outdoor type kitchen, all for $7.50 pp pn. Found the bore water, and tank water in the nice kitchen, could not find potable water at all. Had to go back to Benalla for water. (The tap at Mansfield is hard to access). A great spot provided by the local community.
