The 5 Wandering Wilsons

The road in is dirt and windy, just been grated so not too bad. Busy Easter weekend but still heaps of space around for everyone. Drop toilets was cleaned during the long weekend as well.

Quite a lot of corrugations getting to the campgrounds but doable in 2wd. Visited all the campgrounds and decided on Sheepyard North. Had a dip in the river where a weir of stones had been built. Very refreshing and not cold. Watch out for BlackBerry bushes as they are taking over the riverbanks. They have been sprayed on 17 Feb so don't eat any. If you walk to Frys Hut there is a section where the blackberries are starting to cross over the track. Take secatuers with you so you don't rip you clothes or get scratched. Had light rain overnight and through the afternoon. Some camping spots were quite wet, other areas not so much. Road still looks okay for drive out.

Visited in the middle of January. South side of Sheepyard was pretty empty and lots of potential camping spots. North side was busier but still spots available. River was really nice to swim in and kids had a blast. Long drops decent. Daily visit from Howqua Traders which is a truck full of supplies you can buy including food, ice etc. Rangers come around most days too. Well worth a visit.
