Johanna Beach
CampgroundDescription
Nestled among the sand dunes, this large, open, grassy camping area is adjacent to the surf beach. Picnicking, walking and surfing is popular here. Access is off Red Johanna Road from the Great Ocean Road. All other access roads are rough and unpaved. Avoid them. Dogs on leads are permitted.
Advanced bookings and payment are required year round.
There are 25 campsites available accommodating a maximum of 6 people per site. All campsites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes and big rigs. Non-flush toilets are available.
The Johanna Beach drive in camping area has a range of campsites located close to Johanna Beach. Sites are located on undulating grassland with some limited shelter provided by coastal vegetation. A number of the campsites are on slopes making them unsuitable for wheelchair access.
No fireplace is provided and fires are not allowed. Use fuel stoves or your own gas barbeque for cooking. No drinking water is available - supply your own. There is untreated rain water available. However, during summer months with less rain and higher traffic, water supply may be exhausted. There is no rubbish collection at this campground. Please take all rubbish with you.
