Description

Waterhouse Point is a large of camping area made up of several popular camping spots. Village Green is located on the western side of Waterhouse point and is somewhat protected from the North to South. Easterly Winds. It's an open area and well suited to the larger vans and motor homes. It is equipped with 'closed composting system' hybrid toilets. ( bring your own toilet paper) These toilets are sensitive to chemicals and dumping of portable toilets is not permitted. The nearest dump stations are at Scottsdale, St Helens, George Town or Bridport. Bookings are not taken for this campground. Sites are first in best served. Maximum length of stay is applicable. No fees apply. Visitors are encouraged to bring gas stoves or barbecues for cooking. Campfires, if permitted outside of summer season, should be at least three metres from any overhanging vegetation or trees. Dogs are welcome in the reserve but must be leashed to avoid wandering outside of camp zones, through vegetation, disturbance of wildlife and other camp users. There is no rubbish collection in the reserve and all visitors are asked to 'wildlife-proof' rubbish and remove it on departure.
