Description

Free camping area at Trout Creek in the Upper Scamander Reserve. Suitable for tent camping, camper trailers, small caravans and larger offroad caravans. The access road is unsealed, narrow, windy, steep in sections and rough. It may not be suitable for big rigs and large low clearance caravans or motorhomes. There are pit toilets and some scattered picnic tables. Sites are available on the Scamander River or in a grassed area near the toilets. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Pets are permitted. Fires are permitted except during fire ban times, mainly during the summers months, and do not leave fires unattended.
