**BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE AND BE CONFIRMED BEFORE ARRIVAL. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED.**
This is a paid campground ($10 per night for up to 2 people per vehicle. Extra guests an additional $10 each. CASH ONLY). Hawksmere is a working farm situated in the Coal River Valley. It has meandering river frontage with a number of secluded campsites. It is close to some excellent vineyards, is easy driving distance to Richmond and Hobart and is only a short distance from Campania. Dogs are welcome but MUST be tethered at all times. Visitors please note: our communal fire pit is to be the ONLY fire and permission MUST be granted EACH TIME before lighting. BYO firewood (must be CLEAN - NO nails, screws, etc.). The campground is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. For the comfort of our neighbours and guests, it would be appreciated if the use of security lights is avoided. Camping in tents is permitted ONLY if visitors have a portable toilet arrangement. Due to its popularity our private river site MUST be booked in advance (tight fit - smaller rigs only). PLEASE NOTE: DROP-IN GUESTS NOT PERMITTED. We promote a peaceful environment and ask that all visitors respect our expectations. No children, please.
