They have always had navigation equipment here. Provided you camp in the large area straight ahead past the salmon ponds and not around on the right on the actual tamar river there should be no problem. Update after speaking to tas ports yesterday the overnight camping sutuation has not changed so whoever wrote that it was closed was incorrect. They are actually abalone tanks.
