Description

Famous for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and orange lichen-covered granite boulders, the Bay of Fires is one of Tasmania's most popular conservation reserves. The Bay of Fires Conservation Area offers free beach-side camping. Camping is permitted only in designated campgrounds. There are also more elevated sites among the trees that have views of the shoreline. ***** Campers there is campsites both on the right and left hand side of access road***** Campers are required to bring water and firewood and to remove all rubbish. Pit toilets are located at this site. Campers are encouraged to bring fire pots for use when fire restrictions are not in place. The maximum stay is four weeks. Dogs (on leads only) are permitted in all campgrounds except Jeanneret Beach. Dog owners are required to observe the Break O'Day Council's dogs on beaches restrictions.
