As per previous comment we also filled up using the anti vandal tap located at the toilet block. Bit far away so we filled the jerry cans and then put that in the van.

If you're going further south to Moonta there is a free proper tap in the free Moonta campground. The Moonta tap you can drive right up even with a big rig. Fill up for free!!! (Nice coastline not to be missed at Moonta and nice town too). It was worth the extra 15 min drive south to get hassle-free water fill up and awesome free, safe big spacious campground.
