Great walk, about 40 to 50mins. Good informative signs

Rainbow Rocks is a great place to start the walk to Buffon Headland via the informative, well signposted trail. Learn about the solution holes where big trees once stood, how the coastal stacks were formed and how roots of trees were calcified and turned to stone. We took the loop which took us past the jetty as the fishermen were bringing in their catch. Fascinating. Then we ate our picnic lunch before heading south on the scenic hike to Eddy Bay. We turned back there, as we had run out of time and had low phone battery.

Southend is such an amazing small coastal town! You can see why these limestone formations are referred to as Rainbow Rocks located on the Cape Buffon walking trail. Thee colours are just magical in contrast to the beautiful turquoise water below. The Cape Buffon walk is fairly easy and make sure you take your time soaking it all in, this place is a hidden gem!
