LOT 144 Mount Summit Road, Mount Barker Summit, South Australia

Mount Barker Summit provides spectacular views of the surrounding area as far as Mount Lofty, and is a place of particular importance to the Peramangk people. The summit is easily accessed from either Mount Barker via Springs Road and Summit Road, or from Nairne via Bartley Street and Summit Road look carefully for the brown and white directional signs. The Summit entrance is open during daylight hours and vehicles can be driven almost to the top with a five minute walk from the carpark to the peak. There are no facilities at the top - just a beautiful place for quiet contemplation and appreciation of the landscape. The Mount Barker Summit Scenic Drive takes in the Summit Conservation Park as well as the Laratinga Wetlands, where there is a good linear walk. No camping or overnight parking.
