Description

The Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Conservation Park is in the centre of the Simpson Desert, one of the world's best examples of parallel dunal desert. A Desert Parks Pass is required to enter and camp in Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Conservation Park and Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Regional Reserve. You can camp within 100 metres of the public access tracks in the Munga-Thirri Simpson Desert Regional Reserve and Conservation Park, but there are no facilities. Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Conservation Park and Regional Reserve are closed from 1 December to 15 March each year. Vehicles are required to have high visibility safety flags attached to the front of the vehicle. Dogs are not permitted in this park. Outback Road Report: 1300 361 033 (24-hour automated service)
