The grave of Edith Adeline Scobie is a stark reminder of the hardships our pioneers endured. The words on her headstone were poignant and loving. "Here lies embalmed in careful parents tears, A virgin branch, cropt in tender years". She passed into eternal life,31/12/1892 aged 14 years and 5 months.
