48yo female solo hiker. Experienced hiker & fit. Technical walk but mostly flat. Pebbly, sandy surfaces, angled rock hopping, varied terrain. Maps.me helpful. twice i thought i couldn't go any further. You have to scramble the cliff face at the 1st pool to continue on. There is a sign on the right as you approach the 1st pool. scramble up & over cliffs here. Easiest route. Bit of a worn path. if you are at pool & can't see sign - back track 50m max until you find it!! Pack food & sense of adventure and enjoy the day! took 2 litres of water, drank one. know your limits. 5hrs return , one hour was spent enjoying a break / the serenity :-) FYI flowering gums FULL of bees - be aware . Still some water around at this time of year but certainly no waterfalls. Still worth the effort I reckon.

Great walk, I really enjoyed it! Approximately 5 hours to pool 2, would allow for more depending on fitness level. Pool 2 can be easily missed from pool 1. About 50m from pool 1 on the right hand side (looking at the pool) there is a white sign guiding you up and over the waterfall. The path is quite unclear from there but as long as you rejoin the creek bed and follow it up you'll be fine!
