No camping allowed.
Memorial is at the opposite end to where the toilets are. A German Navy Ship laid out several mines in this area in World War 2. One mine was washed ashore. Two Australian Navy personnel were attempting to discharge it when it exploded, killing the men. They were the first Australians to die on Australian soil in World War 2.
