Description

The underground Artesian water rises to the surface here in a salt encrusted pool. Over thousands of years the salt has been deposited in and around the pool. You can stop for a break and get some nice photos. No camping or overnight parking.

We wondered if the actual spring is in an area about another km or two further along.

Look for the beautiful salt deposits on the plants and rocks close to the waters edge. Follow us on Instagram @offroad_4x4_adventures

How wrong can you be ( previous post!). The 'drain' is actually an old Ghan overpass & the water on both sides of the road comes from a natural artesian spring. The yellow colours of the rocks from the sulphur (I expect) are beautiful & the salt pans caused where the water has dried up are spread on both sides of the road.
