Lake Battye is part of the Drain L Estuary, a unique habitat where freshwater and saltwater species mix. Tidal water enters from the outlet and freshwater drains.
From the land along Drain L, bringing nutrients. Nutrients feed algae and invertebrates, providing food and habitat for fish and birds.

Lovely spot for a fish, kids enjoyed fishing in the lake & practicing their casting nice shady areas with picnic tables & bench seat to enjoy the view of the lake & toilets too! Cheers, Russo Family @ourroadtripadvantures

Gorgeous spot. Man and his little kid fishing off the jetty. Great for a picnic. Very relaxing

Lovely quiet jetty to fish off. My 10 year old loved catching a fish here today. Lovely at sunset. Just off the main road, carpark, clean toilet, seats, shade.
