We were the only ones on an unpowered site so had the town end of the campground to ourselves and quite a few moorhens and other birds. We arrived to a spectacular sunset and the lake like glass. Early morning the wind really picked up so not nearly as pleasant- and a long cold walk to the showers- but we knew that when we booked. A good stopover in winter, probably worth a few nights in warmer weather. Freshies was closed ( presumably for winter).

Flat grassy site, plenty of room, overlooking the lake ( lake view is extra cost). Clean and well maintained amenities. Staff were helpful. Great restaurant "Freshies" across the road with generous meals. Would definitely stay again.

5 night stay - good spot to do day trips. Grassy site over looking lake. Very non contact with office staff, cheaper rate if done online by 4-5 $. Agree with some of previous reviews don't expect any advise or contact with staff. Cafe/ restaurant/ bar across the road. 800mtrs from food shops. Amenities big & clean. If in area would stay again.
