Formerly the Carrieton rural school, which closed in 1997, it has been converted into a community-owned business. It offers private accommodation, powered sites and camping in a rural school setting. The park has lots of facilities for travellers to enjoy as well as offering disabled access and a pet friendly environment.

A hidden gem. A good spot for an overnight or a few days. Grassy areas, fires allowed, clean bathrooms and $25.00 p/n for power and water. The caretakers are well obligingly and friendly and to top it all off, the pub is a 2 minute walk and serves good pub food!

Can't rate Carrieton highly enough! The caravan park is as neat as a pin with really lovely caretakers, the pub is beyond outstanding in food and service (seriously), and the staff and locals at the general store were lovely - and helped us out with a jump start for a flat battery! Super glad we stopped at Carrieton for the night and it is well worth going out of your way for. Could easily have stayed here longer than our one night.

Neat and tidy sites with clean facilities. $20 for an unpowered site on the grass. Nearby pub (200 metre walk) had excellent food and service.
