Go the eastern track if you have a 200 series or anything wider coz holy hell, pinstripes! We got to the surf beach (Mullalong) and started heading here thinking we came all this way, let's get to the top... got a few hundred metres past the turn off and couldn't handle anymore fingernails on a chalkboard sounds on the paint job. The road was so overgrown and narrow once we got past the intersection to Mullalong that we actually turned around after 4 hours. We stopped briefly at almost every landmark on the way in, we were probably stopped for a total of an hour and a half tops so it's about 2.5 hours from Yangie Bay campgrounds to Mullalong. It's very average terrain too. Air down for the beach and the rocky rugged terrain.

Such an AMAZING campsite!! Not sure why the reviews on it aren't that great?? Such a spectacular beach with pretty clean drop toilets, one of the two didn't smell at all! The water is so lovely and quiet! No bees, a couple flys around but nothing terrible. We stayed last minute on campsite 3 which was next to the toilets, had beach access and was huge, enough space to have at least 2 groups of campers (tents/rtt/camper). Such a peaceful campsite protected from the wind! Loved it here! Worth the drive, but make sure you have a sturdy 4WD to get out here!

Didn't stay here, but did the day trip. We are all up for rough roads to see amazing things, but we didn't find the view amazing. The road was exhausting but fine. There are much better NP's out there.
