Description

Martins Bend Reserve is situated on the banks of the Murray River a short distance from the centre of Berri. Note - careful that your GPS doesn't try to take you to a point on the wrong side of the river. Access by car ONLY via Riverview and Martins Bend drives - not via Marina Drive. Camping and overnight stays in RVs are permitted for a small fee. Everyone must check in with the caretaker. There is a maximum stay of 7 nights. A popular spot for swimming and water skiing, the reserve also has barbecue areas and a boat ramp. It is also one end of the Lions Club Walking Trail, a 30-minute walk passing along the Berri riverfront linking Martins Bend Reserve with the Berri Marina and centre of town. Facilities include toilets and a dump point. Water at this site is not fit for human consumption. Generators allowed between 8.00am and 8.00pm. Dogs on lead are permitted. No fires on days of total fire ban.

Great stopover for a few nights. Plenty of room for big rigs. Friendly caretaker who met us at the registration point. Only about a dozen vans here. Recommend.

Lots of room when I checked out Saturday but mainly all shady under trees. I didn't stay and with this rain glad I didn't. Be a bit mucky down there today id imagine.
