We came in from Nundroo, the first 78 kms was on a mines road so was bitumen then another 87kms of dirt road with some rough section but we thought it was OK, just let your tyres down. The last 27kms was the old village road which was also bitumen and surprisingly in good shape considering the age of it. We were greated at the gate by Jackie and Greg, they escorted us to the camp grounds and ran through the dos and don'ts. Priscilla came around in the afternoon to introduce herself and briefly explain the following days tour. It was a long day ( 9 am to 4.30pm) and lots of in and out of the bus. Priscilla and her husband Roger have a wealth of knowledge between them and conducted a fascinating and very interesting tour. We spotted quite a few groups of camels whilst on tour.

We booked our tour after visiting the office in McKenzie Street, Ceduna. Tim gave excellent travelling instructions to our driver. We drove from Penong to the site on Wednesday afternoon, towing a small caravan, without any problems. A dingo sang to us overnight and the stars were brilliant. Thursday we did the tour. Commentary by Robin was easy to understand and comprehensive, and he never shyed away from questions. Plenty of time for pictures with a lunch stop halfway through the tour. Then another night in the quiet, beautiful Australia, with a sense of what it may have been like... Highly recommended this package to anyone with an interest in Australian history and the incomparable Australian country.

Ditto to the comment below by 'Belglen'. Great reception from staff, great camping area with cement slabs for your van left over from clean up. Showers hot, amenities clean and great enclosed camp kitchen to give you a reprieve from flys/mossies if needed.
