Kind RFDS nurse showed us where to camp. Fed the little turtles in the river. Not much action though with catching yabbies or fish. Lovely meal at the hotel. Dog friendly beer garden.

Great place to stop for $10 donation pn as a safe base for exploration. We were advised to move to the closer coach parking with imminent rain on 10/5. Unfortunately that & earlier rain had also closed the road to Coongie Lakes and many others. The seemingly sandy dirt becomes sticky , slippery mud very easily. Hot showers $2 in the town square. We can't thank the locals and the odd helpful Truckie on the Strezlecki enough for road advice. The pub and Trading Post were so helpful too, as well as selling much needed essentials. Thanks Innamincka, we'll be back in drier weather. Watch those huge potholes in the dips on the way in from QLD!

Great spot to camp alongside river. Flattish sites. Quiet. Toilets clean and functional. $10 fee is good value. Be prepared for flies, they are numerous and insistent that your face is the spot they wanna hang out.
