Beautiful spot alongside the river with lots of awesome turtles. We had a massive thunderstorm coming over the camp and spent a few hours in the car as it was unsafe to stay in our rooftop tent. We had 2 lightning strikes in the trees which were about 10m away from our car which was pretty scary. However the storm lasted for a couple ours and flooded the camp grounds which provided us a nice 4wd challenge in order to get out in the morning!!

A favourite spot along the Cooper. Plenty of space and shady spots but be wary of camping under red river gums and falling limbs. Toilets BYO paper just in case. No bins or water however can buy water opposite the hotel. Bring your fly nets. Turtles are insane- kids have spent hours playing with them. Very tame and friendly. Corellas are crazy noisy at dusk and dawn (but we love them!) Fuel $1.90 at the time of writing and donation for camping at donation box. Thanks Innamincka!
