Description

Yalata Indigenous Protected Area provides some of the best natural dune camping areas available. It also lies adjacent to some of the best remote surf fishing available on the Far West Coast of South Australia. Camping is only permissable in designated camp sites and a permit is required. Obtain permit prior to arrival. Permits will be displayed on the dashboard of a vehicle or on person when absent from your vehicle. Permits must be presented upon request. Vehicles must remain on designated tracks only (as written on the permit).Permit holders will be responsible for the removal of all their rubbish from Yalata Lands. Yalata IPA is extremely remote. The closest phones are at least 70 km away, further there is no mobile coverage from the beaches. Access is via 4WD and camping is suitable for tents and camper trailers. To avoid disturbance to native wildlife, pets must remain in the car or on a leash. Alcohol is not permitted on Yalata Indigenous Protected Area.
