Coober Pedy is one of the rare places in the world where the majority of people live underground in what are called dug-outs. These underground houses are dug into the side of a hill, horizontally. The B & B Accommodation at Venushill is the only one in Coober Pedy which is reached via a semi circular tunnel at a gentle angle. The feeling is quite magical and never ceases to amaze clients. Ranger Kong

Well worth the the 3 minute drive from town and worth the extra $$ not to have to set up the camper trailer in a gravel pit caravan park for the night while battling the flies. Clean and secure above ground cabin with ensuite. Left the camper parked and went into town for dinner.

Travelling Trumpet

Neat little place, value for money. Great view and hospitable hosts. Worth a 5 minute drive off the main street.
