Description

----- Take your budget further and get 5% off when you use the code WELWIKI5 on your booking through the link on WikiCamps. Enjoy your experience! ----- Experience the Barossa the way no one else does - from the sky! You will feel like a rockstar as you float over the rolling valleys and vineyards of the Western Ridge, and down the valley floor over the historic buildings of Tanunda on your exclusive scenic flight, gaining a unique perspective of this world-renowned wine region. Due to its vastness, a 20-minute scenic helicopter flight over the picturesque hills, villages and vines offers the perfect opportunity to see more of this stunning region and its iconic attractions in a short amount of time. Enjoy having the helicopter exclusively for your group as all tours are private flights for 2-3 people. Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley, cruise past the quaint township of Lyndoch before veering right, to fly along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Continuing towards Nuriootpa, your pilot will point out the famous Maggie Beer's Farm and Penfold's Winery, before flying down the valley floor over Tanunda where you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many historic churches. Flying further south you will enjoy a view over iconic Jacob's Creek Winery, home of some of the largest wine tanks in Australia, holding up to 1.4 million litres of wine! From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall, before returning finally to our base. While the flight time is 20 minutes, please allow 30 minutes for your total experience to include safety briefings and any other logistics.
