Description

Port Julia Progress Association hosts a Bush Camping area on Reichenbach Park. The Bush Campground has a maximum of thirty (30) sites which complies with the Yorke Peninsula Council requirements for septic tank waste water treatment. Access can also be restricted during events at the Community Hall. No card facilities are available here. Maximum site occupation is six (6) people comprising no more than four (4) adults. One site allows for a towing vehicle plus a caravan or motor home or camper trailer or tent. Car/trailer top mounted boats are permitted. Please ensure your vehicles are no closer than 3 metres from adjoining campsite sites and vehicles. Site occupancy is for a maximum of six (6) weeks. There is a speed limit of 10kmph: (walking pace!!!) Please check in with the caretaker upon arrival, even for viewing of camp ground. Limited facilities are available. - 3 Toilets (Septic) - BBQ Area with electric BBQ - FREE - Dump Point - No Power to sites Fires - total fire bans, as designated by the Statewide fire ban dates, must be complied with. Signs are installed in the bush camp area. Cutting of trees or bushes that surround the Bush Camp area for the purpose of a campfire shall not be permitted. No generators to be run between 8.00pm and 8.00am daily and must not be left unattended. All dogs to be on a leash at all times, even within camp site, - and their droppings to be picked up and binned appropriately. In an emergency, Reichenbach Park may be used to land a Helicopter Retrieval Team. This will be organized by local CFS Volunteers and can take place at short notice.
