Camping is permitted at Point Lowly for a maximum of 14 days. Camping is permitted in the designated areas only. Permits are required and can be purchased from: - Point Lowly, by using the honour system and the payment box is located near the amenities block (Cash only) - The Whyalla Visitor Centre, Lincoln Highway (Cash & EFTPOS) - The Whyalla City Council, Darling Terrace (Cash & EFTPOS) Place your permit on the passenger side of your vehicles' dashboard so that it is clearly visible. Council Officers will be patrolling the area & failure to purchase a permit may incur a fine Sites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper traileres, caravans and motorhomes. Toilets and Cold Showers are located in the amenities block on the entrance to the camping area. A dump point is also located adjacent the main entrance. Please drive slowly as there is a resident mob of kangaroos living between the permanent beach shacks, campsites and lighthouse.
