Great place to visit. Turtles love apple! Best to get kids to find a stick to poke food on to feed as my child took a nip and just broke skin. They will snap the food and unintentionally snap a little finger. Edge can be muddy so care with young children a good idea as water is ewww Worth doing if you like turtles

The water is quite low, but still lots of turtles and birdlife. Very relaxing spot. There are BBQs here now.

This was a really great place to visit! It's a part of the Rockhampton Bontanic Gardens & Zoo, which is nice to check out anyway. We saw so many turtles! We counted almost 30 at one point. Definitely recommend!
