Sunrock is about 50km east of Mount Isa, on the Cloncurry Road, just before the Mount Frosty Turnoff. There is a small carpark area that you walk from to see the waterhole and Kalkadoon (local Indigenous tribe) Rock Art. Once you reach water turn left and walk to the large rock formation. No camping or overnight parking.

Great spot. I have done an aerial photo with a map so you don't have to take wrong turns like we did. Photo is in photo section. As others said, follow path down from the break in the rock wall in the corner of the carpark. Keep going down the hill and don't turn left along the more visible track. Keep going down the hill (like a water run off area) along the fence line. Then keep going up the next hill on the right side of the fence line. It is well worth the walk.

Bottom left of cp there is a star picket. 2 mtr from it there is a break in the rock wall. This is the track. The art is on the lhs of the creek in the vertical rock face. Very average art IMO.

The track is a little hard to find but once you find it drive up to the gate and open it to drive 200m to the 'car park'. You can see what was left of a town with a burnt old car and foundation. Finding the rock art with no direction was too tricky with multiple walking tracks and plenty of rocks to hunt through. If you're up for a challenge give it a go
