The reenactment is in June every year and is an entirely voluntary group who perform this historic event of Cooks 48 days in Guugu Yimthirr clan lands on the banks of Waalmbal Birri and the interaction with the aboriginal inhabitants.

This is a once a year Re-enactment of the Captain Cook landing in 1770 - we went to the dress rehearsal and I think people are going to be very disappointed, you travel all the way to Cooktown to see it and its not great. Very disorganised to say the least!
