Always happy to help, the Outback at Isa Visitor Information Centre (VIC) provides every visitor to Mount Isa, as well as members of the local community with past, present and future information, coupled with exceptional customer service. The VIC is ideally located within Mount Isas major tourism facility, Outback at Isa on the Overlanders Way which links Tennant Creek with Townsville.
No camping or overnight parking.

The underground mine tour is excellent. 3hrs with an experienced miner as guide through an authentic mine. Info centre has coin operated hot showers which is a bonus if you need it while travelling.

Must do! We spent hours here & could have spent many more but the kids were getting a bit over it. The Riversleigh fossil display was definitely worth it & the Outback garden out the back is a lovely way to finish off your visit. Staff super helpful & friendly.

Agree with all the good comments about this info centre. One of the best I've seen. Staff are amazing and do everything possible to help out. Great showers for only a $2 coin and so clean. 3 ticks from me.
