Nice swimming hole, enter on cloncurry side of bridge and onto bitumen road. Enter through farm gate then park up. Might be able to camp here but under busy bridge. Clear water with little fish and sandy bottom. We were told about spot by locals. Could drive a caravan in to under ridge area then walk a few metres to swimming area.

Stopped to have lunch after filling the fridge at Mt Isa. Wow! What a spot! Take the turn off right next to the bridge down an overgrown road to an old gate. Let yourself in and go left back on yourself. She's a bit bumpy but my 2wd hiace took it alright slow. Then you're at a gorgeous swimming spot just minutes off the highway. Would be nice for an overnight too but the puppy and I enjoyed a sandwich and a swim before pressing on.
