Description

Atkinson Dam was completed in 1970 and is part of the Lower Lockyer irrigation system. It is an un-gated dam, meaning that when it reaches 100 per cent capacity, water flows over the spillway and safely out of the dam. BBQ and picnic facilities are available at Lake Atkinson Day Use Area. Facilities Car park Boat ramp Shelters Playground Public toilets This site is open to the public seven days a week, from: 5.30am to 6.30pm (September April) 6.00am to 5.30pm (May August) No camping or overnight parking.
